1995 to 1999

After winning the Archibald and other awards, Wendy Sharpe received a commission from The City of Sydney to paint a huge mural for The Cook & Philip Aquatic Centre. In 1999 she was appointed Australian Official Artist to East Timor, the first woman artist since World War II.
